    My favorite thing about soccer vs football threads is football fans say that soccer is boring, soccer fans say that football fans are stupid and don't expand their horizons. Always makes me laugh.

    Both great sports that require incredible skill, athleticism, and discipline.

                                                        Football is the more violent sport. Rugby and hockey are right up there also.

                                                            With all the protection they wear, I'd like to think they take some hard hits for the money they get. Fact is, Rugby players take harder hits, get paid less money and are overall thought of as lesser sportsmen, but they don't bitch or cry and threaten league lock outs!

                                                                                    Simple, i was comparing crowd reaction at both. You'd think a TD at a Superbowl (the biggest game of them all) would send the fans crazy. Yet all you see is some dudes giving high fives.

                                                                                    The clip i posted was of a goal in a World Cup group qualifying game. It shows the fans going nuts, because it means something to them.


                                                                                    Like i posted already though, it is probably something to do with the fact that Americans wouldn't want to drop their burger and coke!
