The Video Congress Does Not Want You To See!

This was passed on to me and I felt like sharing it. They should be ashamed of themselves

WOW. Real Quote made by him years ago. He doesnt take his own advise I guess.

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America ’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America ’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”

Video would have been better if it provided names and hard numbers, though I suppose that would not be as sensationalist.

Welcome to Washington DC. Nothing has changed. It doesn't matter what party they belong to because both sides do it. It's no longer about what's right or wrong, but instead whomever they are attacking at the moment.

Case in point is Obama with the War Powers Act. The War Powers Act says reads...

The War Powers Resolution requires the President to notify Congress within 48 hours of committing armed forces to military action and forbids armed forces from remaining for more than 60 days, with a further 30 day withdrawal period, without an authorization of the use of military force or a declaration of war.
It does not say "the President needs approval from Congress".

When Bush was in office Obama said the President does not have the right to engage in military action without approval from Congress, when clearly he did. Now that Obama is office he's changed his tune.

It's no longer about what's right or wrong. Instead, they twist the laws to attack each other. We used to have this concept that you support whomever is in office no matter what unless it's drastic - drastic as in about to be impeached - but now we just bash whomever publically.

See this is my point. EVERYONE needs to be kicked out in government and start new. EVERYONE. If a man who knows who the killer is can serve time for not telling the police, these guys are responsible as well for the "bad eggs" no matter how many there are. It will NEVER get better if a drastic change does not happen like this. It might over time by weeding them out 1 by 1 with voting but by then we will be dead and hope our kids continue making the right decisions with voting. I am not sure how much faith I have in our upcoming youth. My two cents.

the fact is no one in gov't is going to give a shit because they know personally, it does not effect them one bit. debt gets paid, or it doesnt, they still have a job and we all know for damn sure they are not going to take one penny out of their pocket to pay it.

While correct on what that act says, your understanding of what is going on is incorrect......

Congress has also signed other acts, binding us to the United Nations Charter and Nato. In short, Congress allowed our Military to take part in UN missions that fall under the charter rules. And Libya, falls under those rules.

As well, Obama DID inform Congress that we were taking part in the UN mission.

While I do agree our Gov does do a bit of what they like, in the case of Libya, Obama did not bend or break any rules or laws.

If you scroll up and actually read a comment I made about the govt as a whole then you would see that this type of shit is the problem with our country. President has to have others(congress etc) for permission to do certain things and things at this rate will never get done. 2nd how can I be a retard for posting facts? Facts are facts and quotes are quotes. Obama is trying to cut 4 trillion but wont be able to. Maybe 2 trillion if hes lucky. Either way our taxes go up and the rich(oil companies etc) will still not pay anymore even though they even said they should be paying more.

The U.S is officially fucked in every way possible at this moment. If we had it Obama's way he would just print more money and call it a day like they have been doing up until now. Only reason this is now a huge deal is because the american people are getting involved and putting heat on Obama. A huge % of american people still has no idea of what is going on and does not care because they barely have a tv to watch or a job or place to live.
