Each site has its own seo pattern so like he said if you achieved with 001, the chances are of achieving with 002 are very low.

Those who charge big fees and don't guarantee ranking "stay away"
Those that guarantee you a rank in a certain time frame and if they dont make it in that frame and work for free until they get to that goal then yes.

There is no way to guarantee a ranking in the top 3 unless you have already started the seo process on that website, even then it's hard to predict, so yes they do lie!

If you are great at SEO it doesn't mean your going to start a bunch of new businesses for it. And some people prefer to do services rather then run a business themselves.

Lot's factors why someone great at SEO can provide a service to do great SEO. We have got sites from pr 0 to pr 6 in less then a year and it has stayed with a huge keyword for 6-7 years now.

We have locked our main keywords for 9 years.

Also SEO has cross marketing benefits like branding and the linking sites can draw traffic themselves as well.

Having a good SEO person or team is very important for any long term internet business.
