I just watched Inside Job

Wow the financial industry is such a piece of shit. I actually watched it twice just to make sure I understood everything. It's almost like someone scripted and choreographed the whole thing. I'm just blown away at how this could happen. Now I know when too big too fail means that it's not impossible but it's too relied upon that if it goes down it makes matters worse. Wall street government for sure

Watch 'No end in sight' by same director. After I watched Inside Job i became hungry for documentaries and all Hollywood Transformers-Pirates-Aliens bullshit seems so silly to me now. The things that happening for real in this world are much more scary than anything anyone can come up with.

"Inside Job" sounds a little like the title of a mindless blockbuster.

i agree, i wish the people responsible didn't decline to be interviewed. what blows my mind is that the same people that helped set it off are/were put into positions by promotion or to
"fix" the problem. i kinda wish some of the people they interviewed just said, well, i fucked up. at least they would admit they were wrong

good film, i was a little sleepy when i first watched it, but from what I understood as a factor, was 99.8% morgagaes being given the highest possible credit rating, banks then selling these on to investors or whoever, these then became a bit crap, investors stopped buying them and the banks were left with millions worth and so the crisis started?!

Very one sided. I would like to see the bank managers make a documentary... actually, a rockumentary since we'd all love it just for the music. Perhaps even have Meatloaf, U2, The Who, Pink Floyd, Def Leopard, Metallica, White Snake (oops strike that one) and Led Zeppelin write original music for it.

Have a tour... We'd all forget about everything and just get high, drunk, sexed... It'd be like Internext when Ibill came back.

Just watched this tonight. It paints a depressing picture of the world, and really shows what the 99% have to be pissed about.
Well worth a watch if you don't really have a grasp of how the whole financial breakdown occurred.

Pretty obvious the people who refused to be interviewed knew what would happen to them.

Greenspan caused a whole bunch of problems with his shit and he is still working in his position as far as I know. Even goes back to Reagan let alone Clinton.

De-regulation caused most of the problems, and Greenspan was behind most of it.

Fuck, Reagan did more shit to start this than any president since. The deregulation of the banking industry killed us.

I watched half of the movie and never finished it because I was getting too pissed.

Yeah, i also got pissed by watching it. And I'm not even in the US. I can't help but feel it's gonna make some people eventually snap and do something really bad, when they see this injustice take place, and it having no consequences what so ever for the ones behind it.

In short, risk trillions and our economy, so they could make millions in bonuses. Ah yeah he did. Bernanke is in the position now. You're right, it would have been cheaper to just pay these idiots more money and not let them fuck the system up.

You have to wonder how long these crooks can keep raping the system they've rigged. They've been pretty much exposed for the scum they are, and they continue to do the same shit. What the fuck?

Love this quote on Greenspan:

Greenspan a "classic con man" who, through political savvy, "flattered and bullshitted his way up the Matterhorn of American power and ... jacked himself off to the attention of Wall Street for 20 consecutive years."

It's really hard for me lately. I feel ridiculously helpless and it seems like it will never stop. I know this stuff has been going on forever in our country, but with the social media and more coverage, we hear about it so much more.

Why do people have to be douchebags? When is it enough money?

The bank thing makes me irate, knowing that the uppers received bonuses with bail out money. WTF people? How fucking greedy can you possibly be?

The only thing that comforts me is knowing they probably have a bitch wife with bratty kids they never see and are missing out on the true meaning of life. (Or so I hope.)

Did you see the section when they spoke about the use of hookers/drugs? Seems to be a lot of it going on. Probably don't live the greatest lives in the world.
