I've seen more and more DVD covers with QR codes on them. Putting them on your website is a waste, theyre already on the web.

I know that mainstream marketers are starting to use them alot more. I've built a few QR code websites for realtors in the area.

Why is it a waste? If the user was getting something additional for free do you not think it could help get some attention for stale old banners?

I've seen studios use it on DVD's, but not online.

I could see it as a way to direct people on their computers to your mobile version. Give them an incentive for scanning the code.

Click on "Current Sites" in my sig... mine is in upper right corner of the page... Honestly I treat it like a easy scannable bookmark link.

People are lazy, I want them to be able to visit my network link on their mobile as well as their desktop. Since everyone has a cellphone, it's a no brainer to have one added to a page you want to have them easily bookmark.

Big props for giving it a go. Any way to track users?
