It's been an amusing process speaking with investors considering some people are very interested in the opp I have but can't get away from their mainstream biz or family to ink up and rock the new site I have.

For those who are just now reading about this.. I've created a custom platform very similar to MFC.. its a complete foundation for new features being added to differentiate from this point on. The platform isnt without its competitive advantages. Go big or don't go at all is the bottom line for a project like this nowadays. It will take roughly 300k to half a million based on a 6 month launch plan. We can buy traffic and have plenty of the hottest camgirls/studios ready to sign in. Skilled management team, devs, etc.

Executive summary and site demo available to qualified investors

Are you at all concerned with the site's look and domain being very similar to mfc? Leo has been very active at taking legal action against anyone he feels is infringing on what he has built, certainly not a site I would constantly be referring to as cloning.

There would have been more lawsuits over the years if emulating "look & feel" or common functionality was IP infringement. However, I wanted to create a foundation and add/change custom elements before official launch and as we go. I've got a list of things already in the works.. as with most sites it will always be a work in progress.

True, and of course we would afford ourselves protection. I see no merit in a case considering you have sites like mycams and freecams out there and those are similar names... I don't use the word free in my domain nor did we steal any code.. its completely custom code and the look & feel have many differences... and more as we continue development before and after launch. Now I sound all defensive...because I've researched this.

Armchair lawyers, other than their name, what unique tech or functionality do they possess IP copyright on? A unique layout no way.. most cam sites have thumbs across the screen and profiles and so forth.

Read this attorney's page regarding protection for look and feel.

I've seen this post and other similar recently. I don't really understand what Adam X is bringing to the table other than software ? If it's just the "software" then $300k isn't going to be enough to get such a site launched and keep it going long enough to take into account processor lag, wages, marketing, traffic and paying talent until it breaks even let alone turns a profit.

Unless I am missing something here there is no talent, no traffic, no capital at all apart from some software ? The whole thing doesn't make much sense

Yes there is talent. Plenty here in L.A. to begin with (aside from porn "stars") but there are many girls and studios ready to go. There is a biz plan with a team spearheading a new company. Processor lag, who are you using? NM. 6 Months is worthy of half a million. This is the kind of biz now where it either happens in the first year or you're just blowing money. This plan won't require more than 500k in 6 months.

A new project seeking backing, why does that seem so strange to some of you? NM.

What "solid" things do you bring to the table other than "software" ? I don't mean "mights" or "maybes", do you have contracts with studios already waiting to go live ? Do you have in principal deals struck with traffic providers already ? Is the dev team already in place ? Is design complete ? Is there a domain ?

You have posted this a few times, if the deal is so shit hot why is it so hard to get an investor ? Perhaps if you cut the buzzword crap and actually provided some detail you might get a few more serious bites.

Fair enough, but as these 2 things cancel each other out, there's no reason to bring that up in this thread. You're clearly trying to sell your idea by telling us that you have interested people, but these interested people aren't qualified. So, score so far is 0 to nothing on this point.

If so how can you be completely unsure about an extra $200k? As for the hottest cam girls, you were selling contact lists of 10,000 of the "hottest cam girls" 6 months ago. Is it the same girls? Isn't this a conflict of interest?

Anyway I have no doubt that you will find the investors you are seeking. Live video chat is a highly profitable arena.

--> I merely was citing a recent experience with someone who wanted to get back into cams but ultimately needed to stay focused on his new business with respect to his biz partners and lack of time needed for this type of investment. Not just an investor, an active partner in his case.

--> A private demo is offered. Yes I've been revising figures. Half a mil for 6 months. Management, Traffic, Payouts, Internal costs.. all factored in of course. Traffic deals at the table. And no, not the same cam girls.
