I don't understand these big-time scammer dudes. It is as though they have advanced Hubris. They know they will eventually get caught but have no exit strategy in place before the hammer falls. There are any number of countries which will not extradite for white-collar crimes but these fools leave their ill-gotten gains lying around in US banks, readily available for seizure while sitting on their asses at home waiting for the Fibbies to come get them.

Had I done a deal like Lapre did, I'd have been out of there a long time ago with the money safe in untraceable offshore accounts.
