I think I would have verbally went wild on the TSA agent. Just insane. Do nothing physical. Just express myself and try to get them to arrest me for sticking up for the lady. The TSA has not stopped a single "terror attack" as of yet.
Israel doesn't use the same methods, and they don't have a problem.

Israel looks for terrorists. That's whats different about Israeli security. They spend more time looking for terrorists and less time/resources looking for weapons.
In the USA, we can't do that because its "unfair" to single out a clearly nervous, suspicious young Arab guy, who bought a one way ticket with cash and who has no luggage... because that's "profiling" and people are going to get sued.
This is why you have 95 year old women being shaken down. Its about policy and procedure and to establish a legal defense, not about common sense or based on intel..

C'mon man, you know that wont work...In the US there are so many different people of mixed or other ethnicities that closely resemble "Middle eastern" appearances that you can never profile anyone in this country without it becoming even more of a clogged mess.
Many Mexican and Latinos from central and s. America can pass for "Middle eastern". Also, a good friend of mine is 100% Italian from Italy and looks more middle eastern then European. This is where the problem lies. Not to mention, you start focusing only on "Brown" people and the terrorists get some douche bag like andrew Gahan (sp?), the white American born terrorist, to blow shit up .
So at the end of the day there is no right way to do this.
That said...the TSA is horribly run and still has not uniformed searching parameters and procedures. Each US airport still has their own variations.
