Craft beer recommendations?

I basically only drink Samuel Adams for the past few years. I have been on the brewery tour in Boston before and it was really awesome. What are some other craft beers that are good too? I want to expand my horizons.

I don't know if it qualifies as a craft beer, but I have been really enjoying everything from Alexander Keith's. The premium white, red amber ale and india pale ale are all great. Most places serve the premium white with an orange slice in it. Surprised how good that tastes.

Haven't tried their dark ale or light ale.

Is brewing your own fairly simple? Can't you buy some kits that make it foolproof?

Find a local micro brewery and take a tour.

Very easy. Started with a kit, now I am slighly more serious with 3 fermenting kegs and better bottling equipment. Kits with everything under $50 to start.

Easiest to go to a local brewery to get a taste for it.

I don't drink much, but if a beer mood strikes me I just buy a bunch of interesting looking 500ml cans.

For people in Toronto, Creemore has their Kellerbier available now. Very tasty unfiltered beer.

A cheap kit that works is Mr Beer but find a home brew local supplier and go there.

Cheap and works great are the fermentation 5 gallon buckets that are easy to clean. Proper cleaning and sanitation is more important than anything for a good taste. Next is the ingredients including water.

Some home brew stores even have classes.

The sweet spot is if you can make 5 gallons at a time. Less than that you have issues with ingredients being partially used and they can get contaminated before the next batch is made (unless you do everything from scratch).
