From the pics it looks like the car could have been in a sideways slide and momentum carried it through the guardrail. The tires also narrow at high speeds and if he was still moving 140mph the tires would be quite a bit narrower. That's why bigger cars are kind of unstable at high speeds that and aerodynamics LOL I have been in some street cars at more than 160mph and would have sucked if anything would have blown out or failed because there is a very small window to correct and hold on. I believe the GT3 was made to disintegrate in a crash in a controlled area like a race course but hitting a steel rail possibly sideways and rolling there is no safe place.

that cant be skidmarks btw - car has ABS - and they are not wide enough

Was dumb of him to do that, but whatever shit happens. Dunn was my favorite Jackass star, but he shouldn't have been drinking. 100% his fault.
|
Turns out he was such a bad driver, that some of the guys had him in their death pool dying by vehicle.

Hopefully he was unconcious when he burned

I like the guy, was entertained by his antics and hate to see anyone die, but good riddance. |
Fastest Ive been on a public highway was maybe 110-120 (in the backseat of 1970 Dodge Charger) as a kid. It gets really crazy over 100 and if you have any common sense you back off.
Today's newer cars like his Porsche make it seem a lil more manageble I suppose but the forces at 140 remain the same as he hit the gaurd rail and hopped it. Maybe all the vibrations (of the Dodge Charger at 110-120) are a good thing. |
Drunk idiots...

Pretty sure you're thinking about understeer where you turn the wheel but the car is still carrying too much forward momentum and it's mostly going straight. |

Its simple, and circumstances are irrelevant. The piece of shit was drunk. He drove too fast. He killed someone. Doesn't matter if he was in a Porsche, a Ferrari, a Veyron or a fucking Prius. It doesn't matter whether the road merged and he hit the turn a little late. There is no justification. The useless piece of shit deservedly died. Unfortunately, he took someone with him - so he probably should have died before. Alone, cold, and bleeding. |
coincidentally, my mechanic had a 2007 GT3 on his lot today. pics cannot do justice to how beautiful this car is in person. Dam shame he couldn't eat it in a hyundai.
yeah he was a shithead, cause he killed an innocent. But i loved jackass & feel for all who were effected. It should never have happened. |
