Whoever Knew Aussie Hip Hop Was This Good?!

many, many years ago (about 5), i was extremely high and in a skater shop in st. kilda's melbourne. there was this hip hop song on the radio (triple J). anyway the guy in the shop switched it off just as the dj was saying who it was, so i never got to find out who it was.

it was definitely australian or kiwi. i could tell by the accent. it wasn't hilltop hoods. those guys are pretty mellow easy going hip hop. this was pretty bad ass, sort of like cypress hill.

anyway, i've been drifting ever since then. if anyone can tell me the names of some good aussie hip hop acts that would have been played around 2006 on Triple J I would be very, very grateful.
