    would you get a .domain?

    I suspect that a lot will be purchased by free hosts, so they can offer domain mames for free or very low price as they do with free email service.

    But I wonder if others will bother.

    That said, if you can get them, town names will be worth getting for businesses in the area.

    such as .york .london and so on.

                                          I don't think I would. I plan on sticking to .com. I see no reason to move. I see these potential future domains being nothing more than for large companies - Such as Ford. They'll own Ford.com, but park everything else at .ford - such as explorer.ford, focus.ford, edge.ford, etc. It will be great for large companies with large of products.

                                          But who's going to control these? In other words, if Ford buys .ford, only Ford can decide who gets a domain name there, right?
