Djokovic reached his first Wimbledon final and claimed the No. 1 ranking by defeating Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 7-6 (4), 6-2, 6-7 (9), 6-3

Nadal won 5-7 6-2 6-2 6-4 and goes forward to Sunday's final, where he will be looking to clinch the title for the third time in four years, this time against the man who has taken his number one ranking, Novak Djokovic.

Nadal is going to come out with a fury that Djokovic has never seen.

Nadal proved just too good for Murray in the end.

Damnit though - Murray had it going on in that first set. Overall that first set was great tennis on both sides. Then that one mistake in the second set and Murray simply lost his mojo.

It's funny, MacEnroe kept going on and on about "he needs to forget that mistake and get back on track" and I was like "oh cmon, of course he will!" Newp...Nadal wouldn't let him at all.

Nadal will crush the everloving shit out of Djokovic. In fact I think he'll end up with a handful more slams than Fed when all is said and done. The guy's a fuckin' machine!

Petra Kvitova won her first Grand Slam title Saturday by beating Maria Sharapova 6-3, 6-4 in the Wimbledon final.

Didn't even watch the final. Sharapova screaming at every shot whether hard or soft is just too much to bear for more than 10mins. Fuck her!

Anyway, when will she play at Wimbledon ?

Damn...what a match. Nadal played well enough to beat anyone else, he just ran into a brick wall. I guess playing like that, there's no question why Novak has had the year he's had. Holy cow that dude can ball! Hopefully he can turn this career year into a career like Nadal and Federer have had. Fucking crazy.

I play tennis in amateur leagues and can move around the court decently well, and I'd say that 80+% of the balls Novak was getting back from Nadal no one at my club could get back. They were both hammering the shit out of balls and in corners and crazy angles. Great final!

I was amazed at some of the cross-court shots Nadal nailed / in the end, not enough / some very lopsided sets
