I had a tom tom which was a gift.. it was ok.. but bulky. Ended up never using it. Then I bought a Dodge Challenger with built-in GPS. Dodge makes cars for men who like gadgets.

However, I rarely use that as well.. while Satellite radio is always on.
The A.D.D. answer here is... iphone does the trick for me.

Free traffic conditions on iphone maps is helpful.. (like seeing the 101 in red yellow or green)
..something you must pay extra for on some of those products.

Why would anyone buy GPS when you already have it on your phone? The handful of times I've needed it, I've used my cell phone.

I've always heard Garmin is the best. I've only used TomTom's and my phone's navigation app. I like the TomTom for ease of use and my wife loves it except for the fact it needs to be updated. Tomtom does offer a user corrected database so to speak which I haven't personally tried yet. That might fix a lot of her problems considering they're always doing construction somewhere around here. I've sold a ton of Magellans and never heard of any issues either.

If you do get one, make sure it has lifetime map updates and some even come with traffic updates as well. You pay a bit more, but it's cheaper than paying for map updates constantly.

i have a cheap tom tom ($100) that i use for driving and it's fine.
had them built into cars before -that is awesome but pricey.

does anyone know where to find a cheap GPS for marking stakes on land (surveying)? somethign within a foot or two would be great. all I can find is ones for $5K up for that, if I could find something that would do it for under a grand I'd be very happy
This dog, is dog, a dog, good dog, way dog, to dog, keep dog, an dog, idiot dog, busy dog, for dog, 20 dog, seconds dog!

Now read without the word dog.

Why don't you build websites with your phone, you have internet?
