Well would depend on what you wanted to accomplish and what your budget is, as an example there are still people who make and submit galleries that do pretty well with Twistys.

But since you asked here is one idea I think is an under exploited opportunity; building Twistys branded girl blogs and blog pages (doing plug swaps) and then deep link to the Twistys model pages.

If it was me I would build these while submitting to tubes with watermarked video clips with the model domain.

No, governments do not want an independent currency, most governments use currency as a way to manage fiscal policy how would allowing bitcoin as a method of currency make any sense to any of them?
