Vast forest and high plain land. Crystal clear water a baby could drink while the ocean sparkles with power.

But seriously: I've been there ... it's one of the suburbs of Cleveland, out the train line from downtown along the lake.

Neighborhood I was in was ancient rich bedroom community ... leafy shaded streets with big trees, three story brick houses, nice parks. Full of professionals who drive to the train and ride it downtown every day to work.

So a relatively nice area? How long ago were you there, and what do you approximate values of the houses to be?
Is there an airport near by that is easily accessibly from other airports across USA?

I'm looking at a portfolio of houses for sale that are all rented out already.

Value of the homes varies, there is a major airport but its at least 20-30mins by highway on opposite side of town. I do some landscaping with my dad in the area. You cant be poor and live in cleveland heights but it not like a suburb of LA, etc...

I thought it was a VERY nice area, but that was ten years ago and I was just visiting friends for a few days. I can't answer any of the other questions, sorry.

I grew up in Cleveland Heights left to goto OSU when I was 18.

You got a portion that is upper class huge houses & old money mansions, a decent amount of upper middle class, then some lower middle class and the vast portion of total fucking ghetto with drive by shootings and scary shit.

I would move to University Heights, or Beechwood just up the road from there.

Are you nuts? Maybe you just don't know the whole Cleveland heights as it is a huge suburb.

Try going in the warrensville area just north of Cedar, total black ghetto.

                  here's the demographics:

The racial makeup of the city was 52.50% White, 41.78% African American

The per capita income for the city was $25,804. About 10.6% of the population were below the poverty line.

                  Over 25% are unemployed.

I went to Cleveland Heights High for high school it was 60% black 30% white and 10% "other", and there were arrests daily and plenty of gang violence & shootings. Almost got killed my first year there getting high at a football game under the bleachers when playing rivals Shaker Heights as a gun fight broke out kid got shot 10 feet away from me.

Out of 1200 freshman when I started only 230 graduated with me...

sorry for your bad experience i was refering to the whole of cleveland heights, have you gone back lately? I have quite a few high end landscaping clients in cleveland heights. To be honest cleveland heights is considered a "black suburb" now as is shaker, and warrensville but i have seen improvement...btw who knew you were a clevelander

I live here, still. Born and raised. Moved away to NYC and LA for a time but back now.

Cleveland Heights is an inner ring suburb. What's been reported is mostly true, but as an inner ring suburb you will get crossover into the city. Which of course has its issues with crime and systemic low socio-economic issues.

It is one of the better regarded east side suburbs, lots of young professionals and college kids. It is close to the heart of the Medical Industry which is Cleveland's last saving grace.

I am a west sider but if I were to move east, I would look strongly at Cleveland Heights. I like diversity, so a little "stank" on my neighbors is fine with me.

This is a very accurate assessment....If you like Cleveland Heights, (East Side) You might want to look at Lakewood (West Side)...lots of diversity there with similiar housing (excluding Millionaires Row)
