US Senate Committee Hearing on Commerce, Science & Transportation discussing gTLD rollout

Link to US Senate Committee Hearing on Commerce, Science & Transportation discussing gTLD rollout and problems.

Anybody considering challenging .XXX should listen to this hearing for understanding how the government views the conflicts contained in new TLD rollouts. Very interesting.

Clicked it off after 8 minutes after hearing that "more TLD's will produce competition that
will lead to innovation and more choices for consumers".

That is just plain non-sense because having a google.WTF is not creating any
        competition for google.com

It's just more shit for google to buy.

If a company can't compete with google.com on somename.com then they are not going
to have a better shot by getting on somename.wtf
        Good luck.

Very interesting and informative. However these conversations are pretty much useless since ICANN doesn't really have to listen to any of these advices and can move forward anyway.
