anyone sold an e-book? Have any suggestions/resources?

Hi have an idea for an e-book I was thinking or writing, but I have never really marketed one before.

Anyone have any good suggestions on where to start with this sort of thing?

On thought I had was selling it on Amazon and Barnes and Noble using their e-book format.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

clickbank is pretty popular for this, costs 50 bucks or so to get listed on there.

                https://www.createspace.com/Products/Index.jsp

you can try createspace as well, amazons service.

You can make a pdf and sell it for the kindle and even make a paperback.
It is print on demnad and they take their cut for printing etc from each purchase so there isn't any overhead.

They have wizards etc to make the book covers or if you know graphic design you can do a custom upload.
You just upload the word file, alogn with the back/front cover and your good to go.

Like dedi said, you can also do a zencart, magento shop etc and sell it as a download on your own server.

amazon is good, i heard they will list it there forever too... depending on the competition of the subject you may have to keep the prices down though.. There's a lot of kindle books that are only 1.99 or so...
