It's a pretty simple concept really - violate the rules of society, go to prison.

Even for the stupid shit, drug crimes, fuck it - send 'em to jail.

I have a long list of traffic violations. Yet ironically I still have my driver's license. My last ticket was $800, exceeding 100 mph. Pay a fine, my insurance goes up a little, whatever. There's no fucking punishment so I drive however I want.

And you like paying high taxes to lock up people for having weed?

Most of them are not drug addicts. A huge amount of them are people who like to party...got busted with some pot or coke or selling some pot or coke.

Let's say you could get a good deal on a large amount of pot that would be much cheaper to buy a big amount and have it for a while instead of buying it in expensive small increments. Or you bought an ounce of coke for $700 instead of buying it for $100 a gram.

And then as you're out partying on a Friday night you get pulled over by a cop and they find your ounce.

Now you're going to prison.

You're not a drug addict. You're not a criminal. You just wanted to party and maybe get laid on a Friday night. But the govt. has other plans and need more prisoners to feed their money making prison machine.

The majority of druggies are criminals...other than just using drugs...as they cannot get or keep jobs because of their use of drugs...thus they steal to survive and purchase their drugs.

When police take a user off of the street they view it as having removed a thief from the streets.

I'm not a criminal. Two of my buddies who are cops and partied with me are not criminals. All of my friends are not criminals. My mother (loves to smoke pot) is not a criminal.

It amazes me sometimes what people think. There are millions and millions of people who like to party on the weekend and do recreational drugs. I'm not sure how you think that people who party can't keep a job. lol

You're talking about drug ADDICTS. Not pot smokers and guys snorting a line. And when you reference drug addiction you should keep in mind that most people who are addicted to drugs are addicted to PRESCRIPTION drugs.

Also keep in mind that prescription drug overdose deaths are more than heroin, cocaine, opium, crack, meth, and every other recreational drug COMBINED each year.

The real criminals are the govt. holding hands with the pharmaceutical companies in my opinion.

Stats show differently. The majority of employers do drug testing thus the majority of users cannot even get a job let alone keep the job. I am aware that some users are smart enough in their use of drugs to stay under the radar and are not thieves...but stats show the majority are dregs on society. I also am aware that some people that are addicted have become addicted due to the use of prescription drugs.

What stats are you reading bro? I'm telling you straight up that people in all levels of society do recreational drugs and they PAY for them. It's BILLIONS of dollars spent on drugs by the American people.

Folks like to get high. And have been doing so since the dawn of man. Whether it was eating peyote or opium poppies or just getting drunk.

I think you need to get out of the house a bit and come out in the real world. The U.S. is the world's largest consumer of drugs...both legal and illegal. And no govt. or law is gonna change that. People will do as they please. It's a little thing in the American people called "Freedom". And our govt. is definitely trying to take that away from us.

I am fully aware of what our society has become since drugs hit the scene big time during the sixties.

Just got me thinking...
To me it's always been obvious that when the govt. got insurance companies to start doing "drug tests" on all employers work forces it was just another attempt to control people and stop them from getting high. (It still is shocking to me that the Supreme Court ruled it constitutional when it pretty clearly isn't: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fourth_...s_Constitution )

I mean, it makes sense that you don't want an airline pilot to be high. Or a train engineer, or bus driver, or the guy working the big crane on a skyscraper.

But testing EVERYONE? Pretty clear what they are doing there. And they aren't "testing" to see if you are high right now. They are testing to see if you took a toke on Saturday night with your friends. :(

Anyway...it just occurred to me looking at that Rush Limbaugh photo...They "drug test" for nothing but illegal recreational drugs! :1orglaugh
So people can show up to work addicted and stoned out of their minds on oxycontin or ambien or loritab or ritalin or the hundred other highly addictive man-made drugs.
And they aren't tested for that. Even though a person on pain killers is FAR more fucked up than a guy who is completely sober and straight but who smokes pot on the weekend or did a line on Friday night.

I've known lots of people through the years who have taken some sort of drug, not one is a criminal.

I've also seen stats from multiple reports that say HALF of the prostitutes in Thailand are HIV+, yet I've shot 100s of girls and maybe 1% of them test positive. Hardly 50%, as stats claim.

Some of us prefer to get their info from real life instead of from propaganda. But I guess since you've been brainwashed by the military into believing everything they tell you and doing as you're told, you'll believe just about anything at this point, sport.
