Well, tonight I'm gonna go Old School. We're gonna head over to Fremont and drink up and down the street. They have live bands playing on stages up and down the old strip there. And probably end up at Gold Diggers at The Golden Nugget watching the girls shake their ass. :)

You live in MDR, and you want to go to a club in Vegas? There are loads of clubs in LA in general, and plenty of good ones on the West Side... why would you feel the need to drive nearly 300 miles to Las Vegas? My favorite local bar/club is BarCopa on Main Street, in Santa Monica. I scored two out of the last three times I went there, and I'm not the best looking guy on the planet.

I will try Barcopa..... I like the clubs on mainstreet.... small but fun and lots of eyecandy..

Last night we went to Fremont St.
Ended up having to park a few blocks away because it was so packed.

There were three different bands playing on 3 stages at different blocks on Fremont. And it was "80's week" so everything was themed to the 1980's (music, costumes, etc.)

It was a blast!

First thing I did was walking from the parking lot we walked through the California club and grabbed a couple of $2.75 beers. That's a price I don't mind paying.

We left around 2:30 a.m., drank beers and shots all night, saw all kinds of crazy shit, watched bands, hit all the old casinos up and down the street...
spent less than a hundred bucks combined and had a great time!

Last night I won $1300 at blackjack, pai gow, and slots, got drunk for free, watched an 80s cover band, and then went midnight bowling.

Clubs are kind of stupid :winkwink:

Something that struck me as kinda funny last night on Fremont.

If you've ever been there then you know there are dozens of people dressed up like "characters" taking pictures with tourists for money.
"Kiss" was there, "Kid Rock", "Brett Michaels", and every superhero in the world.

And as we were walking past Sam Boyds casino we saw "Jesus" in his robe and crown of thorns taking pics with people.
And he sees us and yells out: "Hey Claudia Marie!"

He runs over and hands me HIS camera and asks me to take a picture of him with Claudia Marie. Then he asks if he could shoot a scene with her! :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Back in my early days of visiting Vegas I would hit all the clubs, but I just don't see the point anymore. I used to tip the doorman to get past the line and buy all the overpriced drinks, but it was always so fucking packed it was hard to have a good time. My best friend's brother was one of the managers at the Hard Rock and we used to get VIP treatment at the old Baby's, which to me was one of the only fun clubs to go to because you never knew what kind of craziness you would get into there, but for whatever reason they were shut down and replaced. Now I have more fun in trashy bars than I ever would in an overpriced club. I used to go to a place called Pinky's in Vegas that was a white trash rock bar, not sure if it exists anymore since my last few trips I never checked, but it was pretty easy to get laid there.

Now if I'm going to go out with the intention of getting laid the only overpriced bar I will go to is the dueling piano show at New York New York, for some reason that place is easier to get laid at than a whorehouse. It really is a lot of fun and I guess the women tend to let down their guards there, but don't expect the really hot young club girls, it's usually just older sexy MILF's and some younger white trash girls...

Robbie, you need to show me to the old Vegas one day. I'll be there next month :)

The bad part about Vegas is that a lot of the classic casinos were torn down. If it were anywhere but here, they would have been preserved as historic places.

Like The Sands (where the Venetian is). Or the Stardust (a big empty lot). The Aladdin.
Hell, they just closed The Sahara (which is where Frank Sinatra was playing when they filmed the original "Oceans 13" movie with the Rat Pack)

Anyway, Fremont Street is really the last of the old school spots.
Take my advice and get yourself a nice suite at The Golden Nugget on Fremont. It is first class all the way and you'll be right on Fremont.

And when you get in touch with me, I'll come over and we'll have dinner at the SteakHouse at Binions. It is ultra-oldschool and has a gorgeous view of Vegas. One of my favorite places.
Then we'll hit the street drinking. Maybe walk out of the tourist part of it and hit the old El Cortez Casino which was started by Bugsy Seigel when the mob first came to town.

It's all pretty cool. And you'll still be a couple of minutes away from the "corporate" "new" strip in Vegas when you want to hit that. But a big ass suite at The Golden Nugget is less than $300 a night.
When I stayed at the Tower Suites overlooking the fountains at The Bellagio the room was $1,700 a night. And yeah, it was bad ass...but I only used it to sleep and fuck in. lol

You can sleep and fuck in your suite at The Golden Nugget just as well. :)
