    Someone Just tried to hack my account at Dotster and steal my URLs

    Scarry email I just got, someone requested my password for my URLs at dotster.
    thank God I use an alphanumeric nonsenseical password.

        SleazyDream, have you checked out the new service dotster is offering.

        Transfer Lock prevents transfer requests for a domain to another registrar.

        NameSafe prevents transfer requests for a domain AND all contact and nameserver updates must be approved by the owner of the account that owns this domain.

        Well worth it for your domain.

          DirectNIc has done this for awhile.

          Quite the ease of mind after all that shit last year when people were losing domains.

          Its easier than some think.

                Sleazydream be careful, Marina lost few days ago allstarsex.com with the same way. It was a 250k moviepost....... Directnic didn't do anything although it was obvious the domain got hijacked.

                    It's more than easy to brutal force a pop3, find the user/pass and get the confirmation email from the server....
