Yup. one of the biggest meltdowns in NBA history - I like the team, but their owner Mark Cuban is a tool:
Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was fined $250,000 by the NBA on Tuesday for his outbursts following Game 5 of the (2006) NBA finals.
Cuban was cited for "several acts of misconduct" committed after Dallas lost 101-100 in overtime to the Heat in Miami on Sunday night.
Furious with several calls, Cuban went onto the floor to vent directly to official Joe DeRosa. He then stared down and screamed toward commissioner David Stern and a group of league officials, from the court, then the stands. He later used profanity during a postgame session with the media.
The fine was announced hours before the Mavericks played host to the Heat in Game 6 of the NBA finals. Miami led the series 3-2.
Cuban said Monday he was bracing for the fine, his second this postseason. It showed in his reaction to the penalty: "I'm fine with it," he wrote in an e-mail. "Get the humor there. Fine with it."
Cuban has been fined at least $1,455,000 since buying the team in January 2000. The exact total of his punishment tab isn't known because the league doesn't always publicize action against team owners. Cuban says he matches every dollar with a charitable donation.
This also marks the 10th known time that Cuban has been penalized. The biggest fine was $500,000 in January 2002 for comments that included saying he wouldn't hire the league's head of officiating to manage a Dairy Queen.
Since then, the only other acknowledged fine came last month, when he was assessed $200,000 ? $100,000 each for going onto the court during a playoff game in San Antonio and for an entry on his blog criticizing the way the league selects officials for the playoffs.
The NBA said it would have no further comment on this matter.
Also Tuesday, Cuban posted a blog entry in response to a column in the Miami Herald that quoted him as saying, "Your league is rigged" during his tirade after Game 5.
"That's a complete insult to the players on the court and the incredible amount of effort they put into preparing for and playing the games," he wrote. "The NBA couldn't rig the games if it wanted to. And it doesn't want to. It's that simple."
I'd love the Mavs to win cuz I hate how the Heat were assembled but they have little chance at beating the Heat - Lebron will be too much for them, something is definitely not right with D Wade, but Bosh and Mike Miller have been stepping up. Mavs' coach is great - he'll have a good game plan but does he have the players to execute and match up.
Heat in 5 or 6.
I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!
Is is possible for both of them to lose? At least that's what I'd like to see

after game 1 it certainly looks like the heat. If the mavs win tonight I will still pick the heat. I dont like the heat but I respect their game. Nothing is going to stop the final 10 minutes of this game when the leagues 2 great players plus bosh decide to turn the heat up and score some points. Heats coach preaches stay in the game, play your game, play hard defense for the first 38 minutes, then open up and score and win.

HAHAHA I love that the Heat were celebrating a win that wasn't thiers last night.. meanwhile Dallas just plugged away and won it !!! 3 games in Dallas now woot! The look on Wade and Lebron face was priceless.. you do not celebrate a win with 6 minutes left against a team that has come back in the 4th twice already in the playoffs!!!
1. They want it more. They know this is the last opportunity they will be able to win it. They also feel the sting from 2006 and I bet Dirk and Terry have been reliving the 2006 loss in their heads everyday. Thats incredible motivation to make it happen no matter what.
2. Crunch time coaching: I mean c'mon who you gonna pick as the better crunch time coach Carlyle or this kid they found in the basement of the American Airlines Arena? I think the Heat coach was trying to figure out how to press the pause button on his PS3 before the game got out of control.
3. Entitlement does not equal heart. Lebron, Wade and Bosh act and feel entitled. Getting to the finals their first year together only proves that even more. It does not show heart or hard work, as proven by Wade gloating.
4. Bench play. No way was Dallas' bench gonna be outplayed like they did in game 1 ever again. Miami's bench is crap. Juwan Howard... really?
5. Lebron and Wade are little bitches... nuff said
