The AIDS and Cancer industries are the same, it's about finding ways to get recurring income. I understand that it can seem scary to those who don't come from a science background, but if you've got a good understanding of business, then you can certainly learn about that side and decide whether you trust the companies involved or whether they are being run by criminals.

There are many many many many types of cancer. They all work in different ways. Almost all types of cancer are treatable today. Quantum leaps in treatments for most types of cancer and the effectiveness of drugs/treatments are made every year. There is no magic bullet which miraculously treats every form of cancer.
But hey, if its on hubpages, it must be fact.
To fucking say that all researchers all over the planet that are working hard and making tremendous strides in treating/curing cancer are sitting on "cures" is fucking pathetic and more inhuman than the idea itself.
Not to mention the fact that the "article" in question says the new "miracle" therapy came from a university.. not a pharmaceutical company. I guess all these grad students, the private foundations funding the research et al.. are gonna keep their mouths shut, not publish papers and not leak any cure to the public and not help people either for the benefit of drug companies.Last edited by TheSquealer; 05-31-2011, 05:51 AM..

Money corrupts, that's what my point is. There are good people out there, but the system has been corrupted. Unfortunately the WHO, the FDA and the CDC are all part of that system (not just the companies themselves)

Lets explore the goofy logic being used here which is really nothing more than you saying "i don't trust authority".
Government approval is requested and granted to pursue clinical trials for this drug in cancer treatment.
Government approval is granted.
Clinical trials begin (over 1/2 a decade ago) to explore the role of an inexpensive drug which is ALREADY actively used in the treatment of quite a few diseases, to explore its possible role in treating cancer.
Some of the clinical trials indicate a there was a great deal of success. Some indicate there are still some concerns that need to be looked at further.
More trials continue.
... You have then somehow took it here:
1) Its a miracle drug that "cured" cancer and no one in the educational or medical community or media cared or noticed.
2) Because of the fact that it can't be patented, means there is no commercial interest or interest in the medical community in using it.. so millions of people will just suffer and die of cancer for no reason at all.
