I read the article. Seems there was a shooting that was before this one. No matter, this person was armed and when dealing with an armed suspect - that may or may not have already opened fire on police - the cops aren't going to be too friendly.

They may very well have and yes they do try to get away with sneaky shit, just like the criminals. There really isn't too much of a difference.

But then I'm not crashing my car through a police barricade speeding at officers investigating a crime scene as in the 2cnd incident. Nor am I firing a gun from my vehicle at cops and random people while fleeing a pursuit in which I hit several vehicles trying to get away.

If you've never heard gunfire in person before, your first few times outside of a shooting range are very, very scary. It takes a LOT of time before you can figure out how far away it is or know your surroundings to figure out if you're really in danger of catching a stray or not.

The neighborhood I work in isn't super ghetto, but I hear gunfire about once every couple weeks.
