the dollar store near here has a great selection, you can buy a couple pairs and not even care if one gets wrecked, they work great, no need to waste any more money than that

Seems like I get a new pair every summer, these are what I have now. The Electrics and Rayban are may favorites atm... they fit my big face/head better.
I used to buy Raybans, Oakleys and Maui Jim's but I kept losing them or having them stolen. I tried cheap pairs at drug stores but they usually sucked, scratched easily, bad lens or didn't fit right.
A good place to go is Sports Experts. Lots of nice glasses for reasonable prices ($20-$40). Only suggestion: Try to buy polarized glasses if you drive. It makes a big difference.

main reason i buy the brand names, is because i need to get prescription lenses, or else i would get cheap ones from sport stores.

I used to buy "gas station" sunglasses but i watched a show on how badly those lens affect your eyes. Once you have a pricier pair of sunglasses you will be much more careful how you treat them. Plus most of the bigger sunglasses companies will fix your glasses for free if you mess them up (within reason of course).
ray bans... aviators... classic shape, dont skimp of price and quality either, theres nothing i hate seeing more than a hooot girl wearing cheap sunglasses...... just saying
