Being unhappy and rich, sure beats being unhappy and poor.

Poor people die alone all the time, some live as recluses all the time.

Poor people fuck up their lives all the time.

Poor people go mad, my first wife's mother stayed in the house for 20 years and eventually retreated to the bedroom. They were poor and she was the most miserable person I ever met.

We only take notice when it's someone rich and write a newspaper article about her.

Money never bought me happiness, it was just a measure of how successful or not I was. The things that made me happy were very cheap or free. Evs, our daughter and now my little puppy.
