Carbon-copying affiliate site design/layout?

    Carbon-copying affiliate site design/layout?

    Hello all, this is my FIRST post here

    I'm very new to the porn game so please excuse my noobish-ness. So anyhoo...

    I'm looking to build a series of affiliate websites and I'm willing to put in the design work, BUT...

    Logic tells me that it's probably more effective to just steal the layout of the program I'm promoting and change a few minor things like the logo since I'll be hosting the site under my own domain name. I mean, the people who built the program probably know how to sell it better than me, right?

    Here's an example of what I'm talking about: bangacademy.com (sorry I can't link it cuz I'm too new)

    I did my "stealing" the hard way on this one, ie: making my own graphics and writing my own CSS, but for future sites where I'm promoting only one program I'm thinking it'll be a lot quicker to just grab and edit.

    But, once a visitor lands on my website, IS IT MORE EFFECTIVE? Again, I'm talking about promoting only *1* program so as not to piss off the affiliate gods by using their design work to push 10 different companies.

    Any input would be appreciated!

      To my knowledge, a lot of affiliate sponsors have premade tours and join pages you can use. If you rip official site and use it as your own, you may run into some legal issues.

      from what I have seen in my time here, the big dogs are used to having to step in and protect their content. Even if you are an affiliate for them, I don't think anyone would appreciate you ripping their site. You yourself used the word stealing.

      Not trying to be mean just trying to advise you that if you do it, you will most likely hear from someones legal team.

      You can always get cheap wordpress themes from some of the designers here. Most of them are fairly inexpensive and look good. Another option is to build a layout to certain specs and just make changes to it from site to site, just changing the colors/fonts/ etc in css.

              Might be a good idea to ask them before you do it. I don't think many will have any problems with you doing so. As long as you are doing it to promote their program and make them more money, I don't see why not.

                      What you're talking about is a hosted tour essentially. Most sponsors will not have a problem with it. In my experience, it does work pretty good. Just check with your sponsor before you do it to save yourself wasted time.

                                  1. Never steal from a Sponsor Program,They hate the competition !.

                                  2. Most importantly,Never assume just because you don't steal from them that they will not steal from you as there is no honor amongst thieves.

                                  3. A sale is not actually worth anything until the money is in your bank.

                                          Thanks dude - and yeah I throw around the word "stealing" pretty casually in this sense... but I know from chatting with BBO Support that Bangbros has no problem with people basically cloning their website as long as BB is the only program being pushed

                                                                  I don't get it.

                                                                  A sponsor could be vulnerable from alterations in off site tours where the off site tours make promises and promotions that the site may not have. Increasing risk of chargeback.
                                                                  If whats copied is to the letter what is the point?
