How about that crazy German !!! Dirk Nowitzki, 12 of 15 from the field and a playoff record 23 straight free throws. What a touch the guy has.
Anyone watch the NBA playoffs last night?

One of the best shooters I've ever seen, for sure. I'm typically not a big fan of free throw parades like last night's game was, but when it became clear he had a shot at the playoff record, I actually found myself watching his trips to the line with the same sort of interest I have in watching him do his thing down in the post.
On top of Nowitzki's performance, the other impressive thing about that game was the heart that OKC showed as a team. Down 15 to Dallas, at Dallas, in the 4th quarter, I think a lot of teams would have simply folded and started looking ahead to Game 2. OKC hung tough and kept fighting.Q. BoyerComment

I hear you on that for sure, but I do appreciate the skill involved and the mental discipline it requires to maintain focus and concentration over that many attempts.
Don't get me wrong; I'd much rather watch Nowitzki (or Durant, for that matter, who shot something like 20 FTs himself last night) shoot 25 jumpers than 25 free throws, but still... 23 for 23 in the context of a playoff game is historic, if not high entertainment.Q. BoyerComment

If what you say is true, Dirk Nowitzki played very impressively last night. These scores and shooting percentages are very impressive. I did not watch the NBA Playoffs last night. However, I watched other Mavericks games in the past. Basketball is a highly emotional game. The players have to put all their energy into it. There are other well known players for Mavericks such as Peja Stojakovic with a very good 3-point shots. Jason Kidd passes the ball well to other players.Send me an email: [email protected]Comment
