No problem Zorgman, got the mail. Thanks! :thumbsup

Hmm when I add links via Import Links function, they end up w.o. a name, even though I use the format:
name|url is this a known bug or? |
Can I use this on all of my domains across several servers, with just 1 installation? Or will I need to install one per server for the domains on that server.
|
Markul, yes, you found a bug. Fixing it now. It's currently only taking the URL for each line.
Seth, Im not sure about multiple servers using 1 database. But you can install TALS unlimited times. |
Zorgman, how much work would it be to expand the script to actually include a rewrite function on URL basis? I'd love to take link http://www.something and point it to http://www.somethingelse

I don't know mod rewrite enough to know how that would work, if at all. Maybe someone else with htaccess experience could help you out there.

Does it use any kind of cache or writing to text files before importing them to the db by crons or is it real time? I ask mainly to know if it can handle 500k clicks per day for example.
I don't know if ou have the time to update or expand it, but a nice feature would be to add GEO stats to it, to know how much clicks per country are going through each link, and if you want to make it even better, to allow GEO redirection, so for an incoming link X, there could be different Y outgoing links based on GEO. It would be perfect to track blind clicks, popups and mobile redirects and send them to the best sponsor based on GEO. I'm in fact looking for an script to do that with my traffic. I do already the geo redirection, but i'm not tracking stats for it. |
Icy, this is not that advanced, remember it's only a $20 script.
It writes to the db then once you login it will process them all. The more data you track the stress it will put on your server. TALS was really designed to quickly change URLs when sponsors sites die. Quick stats are just extra candy. :) |
Thanks Theo. :)

Bump for me :) Back to the top
