I didn't forget anything. In 1991 I was fresh out of the US Marines and was inactive reserve - ready to be called up if required.
We didn't finish anything in 1991. By trying to do the right thing, we allowed their government to stay in power. But yet Iraq continued to fire at us on a near daily basis, creating a defacto state of war between the US and Iraq. Pretty simple - You fire at a US warplane, it's an act of war. |
