Photographers just don't get it. There needs to be more "alternative" models.

My guess is that in the next 3-5 years, they will "smarten" up, and put some out, but, until then... it's all about twiddling your thumbs.

And NO, Ian has some nice stuff, but, it hasn't hit the spot. Unseen has some decent girls, but, they are too colorful, and all look like lesbians.

Other than that, there's only a few providers who may have 1 set of like 30 images max, that are even close.

well i go to raves actually, but all the rave girls are under age.. kinda hard to find a raver who is over 18 who hasnt let the life of raving fuck up her once good looks.

Why do you think its all the photographers? It isn't easy to find gothic or otherwise appropriate models. And as for playing dress-up-- that is a huge part of the problem with the current goth sites. Very few people shoot actual goths, and people can spot a blonde bimbo in a wig and some PVC.

Forrest and Amelia are great at capturing the goth look. This is in good part because they have very strong connections to the gothic scene, and work with established gothic adult models. I don't think they could do what they do with average models.

With a makeup artist and a good wardrobe you can. I mean, "Gothic" is not a different species... It is all makeup, wardrobe and attitude.

And I'm not talking... finding that "perfect" model... Every photographer usually has a couple girls that would be great "goths" with the right makeup and wardrobe... but, the photographers don't understand what it is to be "gothic" so, how can they shoot it?

I think you are right that the content is the bottleneck. Not a lot of it is being produced. That means that in many cases, the content *is* the site... Unlike mainstream stuff where people just put all sorts of content in, and only the marketing differentiates many sites.

I can't imagine there are a lot of sites out there for sale. Also, selling a site is rarely economical. Who wants an offer as small as 3-6 months of income for something they built? And how many goth sites are there that could continue without their founder?

I do see that it can be done. However, I think people can detect it. The gothic look is both varied and pervasive. The personal creativity that many goths, especially the ones you'd want to look at, put into their look is obvious. Plus, there are some things you can't do with make-up... not many models will shave parts of their head, their eyebrows, get facial piercings, and some of the other things that genuine goths put into their own looks.

The situation actually looks quite hopeless. I have been looking for that type of thing for a long time and it's rare that anything comes up. There are a few sites that do it, and some that do it extremely well, but it's just not something easy to find.

I see your point, and agree. Maybe there should be an international network setup for Gothic Adult models or something, where they can post their portfolios, and hook-up with local photographers.

And yes, I strongly fall on the side of using real sceners. A really good makeup artist could of course fake it, but imagine the cost in that to get the "real" look, for a lot of girls\guys.

I would love to see a truly universal gothic adult modelling site, hell, even gothic modelling in general. There simply aren't many goth girls on sites like OneModelPlace.

I have generally found that the best models are the ones who contact me. I have a couple of girls who never modelled before, who are real goths. Their work has been great and just the right effect.

Many gothic models out there charge inflated rates, or do not do nude modelling. Likewise, of course, if you ask the average goth babe about adule modelling, you will get a size-seven planted on your throat. ;)

Unless a photographer has a very extensive wardrobe to work with and a makeup/hair person who is very familiar with goth styles, the shots will come out phony looking and will look suspect to the trained goth eye. Its a lot more sensible to do it like Ian sez and use an authentic "goth girl".

I know it's really tough to do anything goth, so why even try ? Get rid of your sites, and give up looking for any content.

But anyway, as I stated originally, I was looking for old sites that people found very little use for and maybe weren't making anything with in the first place. If you have a profitable site, don't sell it. It's as simple as that. These could be a simple 1 page TGP2 gallery, regular avs site, single story page, etc.

what does a raver chick look like? people seem to be grouping anybody 'alternative' in together but I don't think goths are 'ravers' or vice versa.

People point to 'suicidegirls.com' as goth or raver or whatever - um, they don't look very goth to me, they look 'punk' , 'grunge', 'junkie' to me.

Since you guys seem to know this stuff, how about defining for the rest of us what the 'look' of an authentic raver might include -
hair style, accessories, makeup, wardrobe.

What kind of setting would you pose a raver girl set in? I can just see Matrix coming out with their new raver girl collection - posing in front of a swimming pool or a billiard table lol

SuicideGirls is defintely more "punk" than it is "raver" and "goth". GothicSluts/BarelyEvil probably hits the closest to what goth style currently is. Right now, Goths are big on latex/pvc, colored hair/hair extensions, platform boots, corsetry, piercing/tattoos, etc. Ravers are a totally different animal - think: baggy pants, pacifiers, babygirl T-Shirts, lots of bright colors, etc. Although, I haven't really seen too many ravers around lately ... do they still exist?

I just cruised over here because it is the middle of the night and I wanted to talk to other people who are procrastinating too and it is super cool to see all the nice stuff you and other folks have been saying about my work.

Often, I think that when people say they are looking for Gothic content, they are really specifically looking for the stuff that Forrest Black and I create. People think it is a niche, but really a lot of the erotic aspect is something Forrest and I have been putting into media for more than a decade now. But now, we are finally finally getting a good affiliate program going at SpookyCash.com and hopefully that will work out happy for everyone.

People point to 'suicidegirls.com' as goth or raver or whatever - um, they don't look very goth to me, they look 'punk' , 'grunge', 'junkie' to me. Since you guys seem to know this stuff, how about defining for the rest of us what the 'look' of an authentic raver might include - hair style, accessories, makeup, wardrobe. What kind of setting would you pose a raver girl set in? I can just see Matrix coming out with their new raver girl collection - posing in front of a swimming pool or a billiard table lol __________________ I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. GothicSluts/BarelyEvil probably hits the closest to what goth style currently is. Right now, Goths are big on latex/pvc, colored hair/hair extensions, platform boots, corsetry, piercing/tattoos, etc. Ravers are a totally different animal - think: baggy pants, pacifiers, babygirl T-Shirts, lots of bright colors, etc. Although, I haven't really seen too many ravers around lately ... do they still exist? __________________ RubberDollars - Latex and Gothic Kink
