Got a Heavyweight Title Fight

I have a question for those who have fought in the ring here. I am an MMA fan and respect the hell out of anyone that does that. What I wonder is this: What drives you to do it? Is it seeing how far you can push yourself? Is it just wanting to test yourself against another trained fighter? I know it can't be the money because it seems like only the top few guys really make big bucks.

I've been in three fights in my life (not in a cage, just on street kind of thing). Once in grade school and twice as an adult and the feeling is not a very good one so it seems to me like it wouldn't be a thing of enjoyment.

I can understand wanting to train. The exercise rocks and learning to defend yourself is a good thing, but to take that next step is a whole other mindset. So just curious what it is that drives you and made you take that step to get into the ring?

For me personally, it makes the "rest" of life seem much more conquerable. For example, if you're looking at a 6 month project with tight deadlines, you know it's no sweat compared to a 7 week camp plus a fight in the cage.

I've never watched any amateur mma type fights and it REALLY opens up your eyes to the skill level difference between the two. Good on you for giving it a go, for your own sake retire

I think the team around you left you uninformed, should have used the distance and your reach to control, nonetheless... you walked in open face... shoulders/stand/fists/elbows should have protected you...

I'll ref ... I have access to a cage and what not.. my buddy has a promoters license and as long as it's exebition we can do it.. you have to wear headgear and shinguards though.. but it can be done.. we can do it like bully beatdown.. 1 round grappling 1 round striking with 16oz gloves, headgear, and shins... 5 min grappling 3 min striking.. no headkicks I think that would be fun....

we can do like a celebrity grappling match between Anthony and Myself.. (since im small he's big) like Fedor and Gegard did
