So we are having a debate between myself, Panos, and Theo about the old GFY contest threads. We are debating bringing them back but with some twists. I am going to throw a few things out there for you guys and would love to hear additional ideas and see what you guys would like to see from the contests if we decide to bring them back.
Contest 1 - Longest Threads
There will be several parts to this contest, so let me break them down.
Part 1 - Longest Threads of the Week
Longest Business/Educational Thread
Longest Fucking Around Thread
We are having some debate here because if someone posts a would you hit it thread, but it is for content they have shot they could technically say that that was a business thread. One idea is to have the business thread be of an Educational Nature. Thoughts?
Part 2 - 4 Longest Threads of the Month - Grand Prize
Each week we would have a winner of the longest thread of the week and then at the end of the month we would have voting opened for those four threads and the winner by community vote would earn a prize. What are some prizes $500-$1000 range that you guys would like to see for this contest? Ipads, Laptops, etc?
Contest 2 - GFY Gear Design Contest
This one would be for the designers on GFY, here is your chance to be immortalized on GFY and also show off your skills. Designing things like T-Shirts, Hoodies, Hats, etc.
What type of prizes would entice you guys to participate in this contest. We have some ideas but would love to hear yours.
