Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants

Only that newer construction will be falling down in a few decades. Buildings like these - proper stone buildings - last last a centuries. Also the 'charm' and 'cosiness' element to them. I'd take a tiny house like this over a modern day house twice/three times as big every time - I don't see what the big deal is with excess space anyway.Comment

How sad. They have to deal with tourists to make their money and live there. A lot of them must anyhow.A major part of its income, however, comes from the tourism connected to the fortifications (Cité) and from boat cruising on the Canal du Midi. Carcassonne receives about three million visitors annually.
Like New Orleans. It would be broke and more backwards without people from all over the world coming here to visit. "Tourists." fun.

The US has them as well, just they didn't require being actual castles by the time the new world was discovered.
