I was going to see Battle LA in the theatre but changed my mind at the last minute and went to see Limitless instead (meh). In the theatre, they were pushing a new threatre format (new big screen, big sound, not imax) with stupid Dbox seats that vibrate, rumble, twist and turn, etc.
I love movie rides like Back to the Future: The Ride and Spiderman, but when I want to enjoy a real movie I don't want to be distracted by gimmicks. BattleLA looked to me like it was made just to sell these gimmicks. A big turn off.
Anyway, Limitless sucked too. It was a dumbed down G rated movie of the week. The only thing cool about it were the fractal zoom effects which were used twice too often. Yawn!Comment

I usually try to find something to like about every movie I watch. I couldn't even enjoy the awesome visuals because the cliched military gung-ho dialogue was probably the cheesiest shit I've heard in a long time. It was really bad.

umm what exactly did you expect? When i saw the trailer on tv i seriously thought it was a new game, and i thought 'hm more of the same shit, boring and unoriginal'.
At the end i saw 'in theatres now'. Wtf, crappy cgi all over the place, just another blockbuster with effect after effect. I dont even wanna see that shit.Comment
