Who here does Video editing? as in replacing backgrounds etc, adding in backgrounds or depth

im looking to shoot a commercial soon

i need help

i want to shoot the action and dialogue in one room with limted props, and im hoping it is cheaper to have someone put in a background.

does anyone here do this?
specifically im looking to add a dungeon in the background with some torture devices.
and then a nice open space like a golf course.

I recommend if you are really trying to make it look real, you will need to green screen the shoot. Pealing off the background frame by frame will be very difficult and time consuming. Pulling a Video foreground doesn't work the same as a photo.

I do this type of compositing 2-3 times a month, ICQ me and i will walk you through what you need to do and what you should avoid.

there are some pretty talented post production video people on Freelancer.com

you can buy a green screen kit fairly cheap or if you're a good do it yourself make one.

If you just need two sets including an equipped dungeon and a grassy open space that resembles a golf course why not just have someone with commercial experience and access to such spaces shoot the commercial on the real locations?

It's going to look better than a green screen job unless you also plan on doing some extra special effects or something. And it may actually be less expensive than having someone with access to a green screen and knowledge on how to light for it to do the production and post-production and compositing involved. I have access to such spaces including the dungeon and grassy space if you actually have a budget for job.

Cost effective? I saw a Real Estate Infomercial the other day, all it was is a guy driving in a car talking about how there is still money in Real Estate.

Real low budget but still the infomercial was good, the quality was fine.
Any kind of green screen work is going to only add to costs.
