So we went to the ZOO today, had a lot of fun and on our way back we stopped by a coffee shop to have a bite of food. So I was standing near the table and a young man in his early twenties approached me asking something in Polish. I asked if he could speak English, and he did, explained he lacked a 1/2 dollar to enter the ZOO with his girlfriend... LOL, I coudn't help but giving him what he asked, they both looked so happy and smiled entering the ZOO.

i would have given them the cash too. i would have felt bad that they had gone but did not have enogh cash to get in.

i hope it was not a scam and they do that with others. but i suspect they were real.

though i would have done the decent thing and madfe my girlfriend look after the car while i went in. she could look at the pics later.

Yes, it looked that way, a guy same tall as I am, not freaking out, looking into my eyes, explaining it all... I had no doubt he wasn't lying.
