HOT TOUR DESIGNS? Anyone seen a hot tour design lately?

Been surfing around looking at tours all morning for inspiration. Haven't found any made in the last year that really caught my eye.

I like amateur "girlfriend" style tours, and those sites are starting to blend together, nothing unique lately.

Why reinvent the wheel? Only different style tour I've seen lately has been the tube type design.

No one is saying re-invent the wheel, just looking for hot designs of the same ole' bag of tour styles (reality, thumb etc..)

although if someone re-invented the wheel and it converts, that would be nice

Yeah I was on the fence about 21sextury new tours with the giant sliders. I came to the conclusion the slider was nice but the pics are soo big clocking in at 1meg each that conversions would drop for anyone without a solid connection, and the rest of the tour was bland at best.

I definitely like the sliders though, going to be using them more often.

www.enginecash.com has a cool look to it. I may just be in love with the illustrations though more than anything.

If you want to really wow people. Take a look into parallax scrolling. I haven't seen any adult based examples of this but here are two mainstream examples, one vertical scroll and one horizontal.

You can modify how smooth the transitions are from one slide to the next. You can take like some nice dean capture-esque photos of your diff models in different rooms doing some sexy stuff. Add your information around the background in the available space. Have the signup or w/e at the last one. Another benefit of this would be not having to page refresh every time they want to click to see more.

Another program had a design like that not too long ago if I remember correctly. The little navigation arrows on the side. Was a pain in the ass IMO.

enginecash.com definitely a nice design, but not for a tour. As for the scrolling stuff, it's all gimmicky and doesn't work for a porn tour since it loads everything at once, you would have to severely limit the content on the tour, can't imagine a porn tour using this.

Usually too much nice design features distract from the content, while the content is what you try to sell. So in general simple adult sites do a lot better than sites that look amazingly. People want to see in one overview what they get, they don't want to see all sorts of arty farty stuff, they want porn. Over-complicated design and navigation just doesn't work well in porn. Especially these days when most of the surfers are used to tubes. They want to enter, see a page full of thumbs and click the one they want to see. If it's a free site it plays the video, if it's a paysite it shows the join form. Plain and simple.
