Good question: It's actually not a Barn Owl :winkwink: It's an Asian Species "Tyto longimembris"

Same Species but found in a different part of the world :) The hen above was captive breed and came from the Philippine Islands. She is now being used for a Hybrid Project in Flordia.

Yes in deed they are, i noticed they don't molt seasonal colors like UK or US Species. Or i have not noticed yet I'm not 100% sure.

I just googled it lol .. eastern grass owl, looking at the pics on google the face markings are different to the US and UK barn owls as ours are almost pure white

Their down is so soft and they are also very light birds Not much body to them as they have so much plumage And to watch them bring up pellets is also pretty amazing and also funy to see people faces when they think the owl is being sick

Yeah, that's something i was looking into or waiting for. The Barn Owls on my side of the world turn white during winter. Then when Spring somes molt into their browns. I'm pretty damn sure my Eastern Grass Owl has not gone white yet. It doesn't snow in the Philippines where she came from so it's something if anyone was interested in writing about can.

I don't know what zoos you have been to that smell bad! None of the girls have ever said anything to me about it. Then again only 5% of them have had enough balls to walk around my house. My full time care takers do a pretty good job. :thumbsup
