Friendster Shutting Down
I met these guys a while back at Adtech, smart guys but could never get their act together unfortunately. They were before Facebook and Myspace's time and certainly pioneers in the vertical

Facebook added 60m USA users between april 2009 and april 2010, and then 40m USA between april 2010 and april 2011.
