Shit really is that bad and has changed. A lot. I mean, yeah duh to most of you and my old sales have trickled off mostly (rebills ftw) but I have been working on mainstream stuff part time (thankfully) and now moving back into the adult stuff to consolidate/cleanup things I am really seeing what's up. It is quite startling.
I actually wasted my time even thinking about selling domains. I feel like an idiot attempting to even sell domains to people. Personally I always look at domains for sale, and I still buy when it is in relation to my current and future projects but I guess in adult that just isn't happening! I am just going to let them go, it's not worth the energy at all. My apologies to anyone I even tried to sell a url too, geez they're worth as much as a steaming turd it seems. Even two word .coms are pretty much junk at this point. Embarrassing I wasted my time. lol... Well I'm not giving up on adult, in fact I am kind of excited because I like to try new things and was really burned out a couple years ago anyway. I figure after I deal with consolidating everything I'll spend at least a couple more years on adult and give it a chance... if it keeps sucking this bad I will fully scrap it for mainstream. Crazy. Kind of sad too. I really like the pron, but if it is that dead unless you're doing the tube thing I have no desire to run a site like that even if legit. this is kind of like a blog post but on gfy, thinking and typing. lol ![]() So who has the crystal ball for adult internet? I wonder what another decade will bring. |

I have been so deep in mainstream the last 6 years, I let adult mostly fall the wayside.
I keep saying I need to take a week off and just concentrate on adult and see if any shit sticks. I am so fed up pushing brands and traffic to others and end up getting screwed as I see the affiliate model dry up (in mainstream too). Even adsence pays far less than it did only 5 years ago. IMO the way to realy make it online is to own what you are selling to your traffic, build it up and dump it for what you can. I remember days of converting 1:32 and I want it back! |

yeah it's weird, because I have still posted here a bit and seen this site slow down too... I only realized how bad that actually is when after posting here for 9 years for the first time I posted my tits and the thread initially sat there. lol

I guess to many people had to get office jobs and can't browse GFY during the day ![]() Ive noticed a lot of newer people coming on, then they die off pretty quickly. Probably thought "I'll develop some porn sites" then realized "there is no money in porn" ![]()

It really is quite startling. This board really is an indication of things. I've been posting here and there, but I never really did try to do business through this board. I have let so many domains expire too at this point, I thought why not at least make an effort to turn over a few of the nicer ones. I have like 8-9 year old domains!
The fact is, domain names are like a bill now, a financial burden. If they're not making real money it isn't even worth renewing them even though it is only like ten bucks. Nobody wants them unless they are totally prime or have traffic. |

Yeah, to bad Affiliate Program's can't get AIDS like people. That would control the population of them and take out a good majority of the people making 5-100$ a week

This year, I just let 50+ domains go out of my list. some were shitty small projects and some where just ideas that I ended up buying years ago. The oldest one was 5 years old, nothing big but not worth keeping around for another $12

No, he had a life changing experience last summer that made him not want to sit at a desk anymore. He still works on sites though, but pretty much only the mainstream stuff as his time is spent on other things now. Art mostly.
But I am forever amazed at the impression he left here. Your post is proof. ![]() |

This much is true. If not for the oil spill and him getting a clean up job (collecting BP money) he would have been working at Walmart by now.
But it sounds more glamorous to say he left behind a lucrative porn banner business to go save the world. ![]() oh and he is too good for us to come back here and post, so he leaves his wife to do the trolling.
