                      Ok, NOW it's tax day. Just a FYI the IRS is VERY VERY fast in cashing checks, so don't write it if you don't have it in your bank account. Checks mailed today will be cashed on wednesday or thursday at the very latest.

                              Tell me about it, I'm still wondering how a check mailed early morning could have made it out of my account right at 11PM the same day! The postal clerk I asked a few days later told me they send all IRS mail to a single location where they actually do instant bank transfer after scanning all the checks they get.

                              It's like PayPal instant transfer who used to take a couple of days, which now are taken out almost as fast as a credit card authorization on the same day!

                                      Interesting, so your saying every major city has a IRS office where mail being sent to ie IRS atlanta is redirected to and processed?

                                          Not sure about every city, but from Orlando, it goes somewhere where they can treat checks real fast...
