    Suicide is a Fucking Bitch!

    How about my friend calls and asks me to come over at 7 (he called me at noon) so I show up and find him hanging from the attic. WTF? I had to call the cops and deal with all that last night.



    I can't sleep or eat now, I'm devastated.

                              I lost my grandfather to suicide as well. At first it seems selfish, and a horrible thing to do to family and friends. But, he was mentally ill and thought it was his only option. I feel sorry for him now and don't feel that he was as selfish as I had first thought. It was his life to take. Perhaps your friend thought that you can handle seeing it and that his family couldn't. Perhaps it was meant as a compliment of sorts, you were the strong one to deal with what his family couldn't.

The other guy blew his head off with a shot gun so his sister could find him next to the x-mass tree.

                                                                                                                  My wife's nephew killed himself in Jan... He was 16. I didn't really even know the kid that well... but it hit me pretty hard... I just can't imagine how his parents feel. His Dad found him in the yard with the shotgun.

                                                                                                                  I am sorry to hear about what happened... but I am not sure I could say that anyone that would ever do that to you was really a friend.

My father died when I was 14 or so.. never knew that bastard.. When I was told of the news... I went outside and played with my friends.

The one who got drunk and drove off the cliff was a good friend and I'm not 100% it wasn't just a drunk driving accident. This last one was an old ex-b/f's brother who I still talked to once in a while but we weren't that close, when he called me I was happy to go over as I hadn't seen him in over 2 years.

                                                                                                                                                                                  A mate of mine hung himself in feb this year and it was a horrible experience.

                                                                                                                                                                                                  I would only consider suicide in 2 circumstances.

                                                                                                                                                                                                  1) I did or was accused of something horrible and was facing a long term in prison and the cops were right on my ass. Sorry but I'm just not going to prison.

                                                                                                                                                                                                  2) Beginning the end stage of a terminal illness, like cancer. I've had family members taken by cancer and thats no way to go and I would not put that kind of burden on my loved ones.

                                                                                                                                                                                                  Perhaps your friend felt he was in a hopeless situation as well.
