Well, it's payback time. My kid will be a minority by the time she graduates high school. My kid can go to college on a minority grant, and then get a low interest minority loan, etc etc.

The authors say their findings about ethnic minorities match reports from the US.

They write: “This finding might be attributable to clustering of pandemic influenza A H1N1 cases in areas of England with high ethnic minority populations (such as London and the West Midlands), although other areas with lower ethnic minority populations such as the East Midlands and Yorkshire were also greatly affected.”

They say there may be more pre-existing conditions in ethnic minority children, although there’s no firm evidence yet to back this up.
