On CNN they were talking about that company and another and how they have seen a 2000% sales increase since the disaster in Japan.

Radius Engineering has so many shelter orders from the D.C. area that they no longer have model depictions on their webpage. Something evil this way comes and the elitests are preparing.

I bought a pass into a fall out shelter for my family, and myself, for just under $300. When it's everyone for themselves the day before, my shotgun > your key card.

                    its a great idea.

you can build these for say 300 people, and take orders for 1000000's.

if there is a disaster, no one will be able to sue you.

                        3. Airborne radiation poisoning from nuclear power plants.
                        4. Radioactive contaminated soil.

                        7. Fallout shelter is your privately owned mausoleum.

Tidal wave? .. Most fallout shelters can only sustain one hundred days under water.
After one hundred days, release the hatch and drown to death or be exposed to radiation poisoning.

December 21, 2012 is predicted to be our execution date.

whats verified? that nothing will happen? yes...

here's a hint that everyone forgets (because nobody uses history as a tool except me) Nothing happens overnight... If you are on an island in the middle of the ring of fire and susceptible to tsunamis? then of course there is risk with that, but if you are inland? ZERO risk.

if an apocalyptic event did ever happen, you would have to be naive to think those people are going to honor the commitment. my guess is people with a setup like that would execute most of the people as they showed up, except for a few they wanted to keep for their own entertainment. they aren't going to waste their valuable food and water supplies on you just because you had a contract with them before the world came to an end. think about it. you funded their survival compound. once the shit goes down, they dont need you anymore.

What if I'm bringing Hookers and blow

Actually it would be very sad if someone that is in the survival business didn't care about anyone else and only themselves. Chances are they know that the more people saved the better chance mankind has to survive. Not doing so would be the ultimate selfish act and it would be naive to think otherwise.

The extent our government goes through to protect us in the event of a disaster must be astronomical.

We're going to have serious problems with food in the future. Maybe not next year, but within the next 10 - 20 years. The population is growing at a rate faster than we can feed everyone.

People living in parts of Asia are already seeing issues with rice, palm oil, sugar, and some other items.

People living in parts of Asia are already seeing issues with rice, palm oil, sugar, and some other items.
Asia is a very bad place to live in. Unstable climate and very dense population.

After one hundred days, release the hatch and drown to death or be exposed to radiation poisoning.
Fortunately water flood is almost impossible here in Moscow (too long away from the seas). As about nuclear strike and other similar disasters, we have very deep network of subways which can be closed hermetically, has a big reserve of water, food etc. And you don't have to pay for it. The nearest shelter is in 5 minutes of quiet walking from the place where I live. Reliable (about 30 meters underground + massive hermetical doors) and free

Yes, Asia is very unstable. However, with shifting weather patterns, I'm not so sure if anyplace is safe from disaster anymore. Everyone is vulnerable, just some places more than others.

You also have to look at disasters in terms of micro-disasters. Say you live in a generally safe zone in North America that gets HAMMERED by a snow storm that knocks out power for 2 weeks. No going out, no getting anything to you. Can you make it through 2 brutally cold weeks? A power grid crash could happen anywhere really, even without snow. It's happened before. Massive earthquakes, floods, terrorist attack, storms... lots of things that can cause problems without even getting into the discussion of food, water and oil.

But the "end of the world" type of disaster that site is selling (the shelter), the only thing that comes to mind is... what if you can't get to it?

It's all great to be prepared to survive like that, but you also have to think, if there is a warning for an even so large you need to get underground (and I doubt there would), there will be CHAOS. Good luck getting to your far away shelter unless you're privileged enough to have your own helicopter or jet. Even then, there could be a no fly zone enforced and you're stuck. Some nut job lets off a suitcase nuke somewhere and watch how fast civilian planes are grounded.

IMHO, unless you live within walking distance to that giant shelter, best to take that money and build your own on your own land and hope to God you're not on vacation on the other side of the world if you ever need it.

Actually it would be very sad if someone that is in the survival business didn't care about anyone else and only themselves. Chances are they know that the more people saved the better chance mankind has to survive. Not doing so would be the ultimate selfish act and it would be naive to think otherwise.
They will gladly take your hookers and blow, don't worry about that. Once they've taken it from you, you would be just one more person to snort some of their blow and fuck their hookers which is a liability they don't need. Your brain, meet bullet.

I can assure you they are not going to be worried about the longtime survival of the human race. They have 1-2 years of food stocked up, the above ground world has ended, and their 1-2 years of food can last the key people 20-30 years if they don't share it with you. The choice is obvious.

They have 1-2 years of food stocked up, the above ground world has ended, and their 1-2 years of food can last the key people 20-30 years if they don't share it with you. The choice is obvious.

I didn't say there would be just one person there that kills everyone else. What if they have 50 people in their inner circle? Is that enough to have companionship, strong hands, fuck, and so forth?

People around the world are used to harsh conditions, not having water, not having food, being a little dirty and still working together in those tough times.

I have and I can't recall even one where a character went around killing everyone to hoard supplies.

I didn't say there would be just one person there that kills everyone else. What if they have 50 people in their inner circle? Is that enough to have companionship, strong hands, fuck, and so forth?

If they have 50 and plenty of food, why let another 500 in? I'm not saying it would be right not to, I'm saying what I think would likely happen.

Then when the time comes they would kill off 48 of them to increase their own supply.

I don't see anything in your first post that sounds like they would kill off people due to over crowding.
