he told me an idea for a site, that sounded very good.

in fact it could very quickly become bigger than facebook.

so what would you do with a great idea that would need a good programer or even a team to build?

i do not have the funds to do this.

its a site i would use all the time if exsisted.

in fact its such a simple idea i am suprised its not been done.

i just do not want me or him to be riped off.

I've had so many ideas that ended up being done by someone else because I didn't have the time to develop them. Truly unique ideas are pretty rare.

u should register/something do with this idea, then find a group of peoples u need like developers or designers on revenue sharing basis.

1. Buy Social software to get it started (dont use the free stuff, it often sucks with no support)
2. Trademark the name
3. As it grows youll get money and/or investors to help you build it better with better programmers

I made money today selling into a website concept. Since I didn't have phone/web service on my iphone where I was, I just showed a photo slideshow of the site. It still sold the prospect.

In the past when I've started magazines I've pasted assorted pages together and said "it will look like this".

The point is: Just. DO IT.
