just wait till it actually happens, then tell us about it. I grabbed mine out, pulled the battery and washed the daylights out of it, in hot water, put it under the blowdryer, in a few days it totally dried out. Used it for a couple years after

Make sure you take the battery out assuming it is not an iphone... It is not the water that nukes the phone. It is the damn electrical shorts the water makes. A nice bag of rice with no battery could bring it back to life.
