INTERNET pop sensation Rebecca Black has found the perfect way to hit back at critics who branded her song the worst EVER - record a follow-up.

The 13-year-old has become an accidental singing star overnight, with the video to her track Friday viewed nearly 50MILLION times on YouTube.

That is 25million more than internet queen Lady GaGa's promo for latest single Born This Way.

However, cruel web comments have left Rebecca sobbing over her laptop. School bullies have also tried to make her life a misery. But the defiant teen refuses to let it get her down - and has started work on an ALBUM.

The Sun joined her in the studio near her home in Orange County, California, as she began recording her next track - text-messaging themed anthem LOL.

And after a sneak listen we can reveal that the tune is every bit as, erm, catchy as internet smash Friday.

In a message to her critics, Rebecca hit back: "You think you are bringing me down and making me not want to do this any more. But you're making me stronger and want to do it even more.

"Here I am in a studio working on my debut album. I'm going to prove you wrong. Just like Friday, the new songs are pretty catchy."

For just $4,000 (£2,480) small studio Ark Music Factory wrote and recorded Friday and filmed the video. It was only meant as a bit of fun paid for by Rebecca's mum Georgina Kelly, 47.

But with the song hitting the Top 20 of the US iTunes chart and the Top 40 of the UK equivalent, it is now tipped to earn $1MILLION.

Various writers, producers and record labels are now desperate to cash in by working with the schoolgirl.

But while Bieber Fever swept the world as 17-year-old Justin Bieber's fame soared, some internet jokers have dubbed the rise of Rebecca the Black Plague.

Friday's much-mocked lyrics include the teenage dilemma of where to sit in a convertible car with your friends on the drive to school.

Rebecca sings: "Kicking in the front seat/Sitting in the back seat/Gotta make my mind up/Which seat can I take?"

And of course, it also covers the order of the days of the week: "Yesterday was Thursday/Today is Friday/Tomorrow is Saturday/And Sunday comes afterwards."

New song LOL is in a similar vein, with the chorus, "BFF you make me LOL", meaning best friend forever you make me laugh out loud.

Although she is not signed to a label, Rebecca is working at a studio called Flying Pig Productions as she plots her pop career.

Rebecca was full of beans and a natural in front of the camera in the video for Friday.

But she described how her pop dream quickly turned sour after she realised she had become an online global mockery.

Her family considered pulling the song from YouTube - but the determined youngster refused, saying that would have let the bullies win.

She said: "It was really upsetting. These people don't know me and it really hurt at first. I cried a little bit, I'm only 13.

"I thought, 'Should I not have done this? What have I done wrong?'

"People were saying, 'You're the worst singer, this is the worst song'. They criticised my voice and the lyrics.

"But I call them negative Nancies. They can try to rain on my parade but as far as I'm concerned they are raining on their own parade.

"Just face it - it is a catchy song. It gets stuck in my head."

Then repeatedly bashing her skull, she added: "Sometimes even I go, 'Aaarghh - get out of my head'."

The taunts also made their way on to the playground. But Rebecca has the ultimate A-list gang of pals to stick up for her - including one of her own schoolgirl crushes, Nick Jonas.

The 18-year-old Jonas Brothers' heart-throb tweeted the link to her song - and the views sky-rocketed. But so did the knocks - and they grew more and more personal.

Then American Idol TV host Ryan Seacrest, 36, contacted her to offer his support.

X Factor chief Simon Cowell, 51, and pop queen Lady GaGa, 24, later publicly backed the teen.

Simon said: "I wish her all the success in the world. She posted her song on the internet, people reacted to it very quickly and they either liked it or hated it. But I'd call that a high-class problem."

And GaGa said this week: "I think it's fantastic. Rebecca Black is a genius and anyone telling her she's cheesy is full of s***." Many other celebs have sent their support too, says Rebecca, with messages through Twitter.

She thinks Katy Perry might have backed her but she is not sure - she has been too busy to keep up.

She said: "Ryan Seacrest has been awesome through this whole experience and he's my mentor at this point, giving me really good advice.

"Simon Cowell wants to meet me and that's really cool - crazy.

"Nicole Richie and her husband Joel Madden and loads of famous people have been supportive. It's mostly through Twitter.

"I love Katy Perry. She might have tweeted support too, I don't know. I'd love to do a duet with Justin Bieber - that would be the ultimate.

"He hasn't been in touch yet but he can't avoid me for ever."

She said her gran Georgina, 76, thought Rebecca had fallen ill when told she had "gone viral".

Although the meaning was explained to her, "it still didn't really dawn on her what was going on until she saw me in a newspaper".

Rebecca's mum Georgina, a vet, said it was tough watching her daughter become the victim of cyber-bullying after encouraging her to record the song.

The mum-of-two said: "I went through a lot of emotions. I was very upset and concerned for Rebecca.

"But the tsunami had just hit Japan so we put things in perspective. I was upset but I had no choice except to toughen up and deal with it."

Now Rebecca has pledged to give proceeds of the song's sales to her school and victims of the tsunami and spend what is left on "a cute pair of shoes".

She remains fiercely defensive of Friday - and promises more of the same on future recordings.

She said: "I liked how it was just about having fun and partying with friends but not the bad kind of partying, the good type of partying.

"I like the fact I am singing like a 13-year-old girl, not trying to be anything else. I would consider some teenage love songs but I want to keep it appropriate and clean."

to be honest i think the song is ok.

and i suspect such as the dysny channel would give her own tv show. i have seen a lot worse have there own tv show.
