Isn't tv Tuvala or some shit.Originally posted by pornopeteYou should not bother with .xxx . It is just another TLD like .fm was supposed to be radio and .tv was supposed to be for tv.
la is Laos but was geared towards L.A. business.I'm out.Comment

Hi All,
I know, I'm lazy... I probably should do my own homework. But I was reading up a bit on the .xxx domains stuff. What I still do not get is if "porn" will be banned from .com, .net or .org. In other words, will adult content be forbidden to be put online on a non .xxx domain? And if so, who is going to enforce that? And what about the "level" of porn. Softcore allowed or not? Nude, no-nude?
I'm a "small" adult webmaster and still in the process of buying domains and putting content on them. So should I continue to buy domains and use them as such? Or should I already start to invest in .xxx domains?
Cheers,
CodeR70
Check the drop lists on pool.com or some other site. You can pick up some halfway decent domains after they drop. So at 12 pm PST you can hand reg the ones that did not get picked up by a backorder. Maybe you find one or 2 a day. I would say forget about the xxx domains. Look at what happened to all these other extentions that went bust like .eu and others. .TV actually gets used and there are some big companies using that extension yet you can hardly give away a .tv domain. Stick with .com
You can also pick up some halfway decent domains for $50 on GFY. Braincash Fred sold SizeForumla and some other PE domains for that price just last week. Not too bad.Last edited by VikingMan; 03-25-2011, 07:09 AM.Comment

I think people underestimate what the masses OUTSIDE of our industry think, and lots of them think it would be awesome if all porn were wrangled up and corralled on .XXX - this news totally lays the foundation for that.
I think it's important to get the word out to porn consumers and others all of the things that are fucked up about .XXX:
.XXX Domain Makes Me .MAD - http://titsandsass.com/?p=676
Hey! Wouldn?t it be great if porn sites were made pornier by putting a big .XXX at the end of them? That would make me so much more aroused and reduce the confusion I feel when I visit a dot com and can?t determine for myself whether or not I?m looking at porn. After all, it?s very hard to judge whether or not I should devalue content and the people who make it simply by looking at it. I need more LABELS, man, especially when I visit one of those sites that?s sort of sexy but also has lots of words on it and I?m not sure whether I should start rubbing my mini-boner yet. Will it pay off with a free sex video? Or is there going to be a long non-nude poem to interrupt everything? Are there going to be a bunch of annoying ?join now? buttons or will the mystery be preserved of why someone on the internet is enticing me with erotic photos (just because she loves to show off her hot body for free, I hope).Comment
