Think about it, how did these Rebels get millions and millions of dollars worth of military equipment to start this? You dont buy anti-aircraft missiles in a corner store....and even then someone has to teach you how to use these things and that takes months of training.
And let me ask you this, if a group of people in France or Britain armed themselves with millions of dollars of weapons and started bombing and shooting people and shooting down planes and did all this in the name of "Freedom and Democracy", what do you think the governments of these countries would do? It is now being reported that the Tomahawks were successful and the no fly zone is now active.

B2 Bombers flew from the CONUS and dropped 40 bombs...reportedly on runways...and have returned to the CONUS.

There have been zero reports of Lybian fighter aircraft taking to the skies so their air power now appears to be non-existent.

I would suspect that any jets they may have are from a military pilot changing sides.

i thought the same but then wondered how would the pilots tell each other apart up there? i don't avionics could do that. i would also think the airport/facility have to change sides for this to happen as well, not out of the question.

Any of rebels with 2 days of school, who will make oil private property of western companies and let foreign banks to operate there and suck money out. We have already seen this so many times. Ghadaffi actually have mass support of it's people what is normal if you know what benefits those people have there and they don't owe money to any other country. For all those who believe that what they read (as usually) here are some info few days old from people actually live there : Libyan army (called Ghadafi forces - only legitimate and legal armed forces on Libyan soil) forced out rebels and terrorists from city of Zavia. They are also forced out of Brega and only thing they are holding is separate suburb of New Brega:beside that Libyan army entered Misrata and cleaning blocks one by one. Now, what will happen in time we will all see but one thing is for sure, there are psople visiting my sites from there, I saw them on woopra live stats , few days ago.
